Labour is the Easy Part
For most first time moms, the idea of giving birth is enormous. It is frightening, exciting and a little overwhelming. Women become obsessed with how they will actually get this baby out of them. They read books, take pre-natal courses, talk to their friends and even watch TV programs about birth. In short, they spend countless hours preparing for something that, in reality, might last 48 hours – at the most. Then the woman finds herself holding a real newborn human being with absolutely no idea what to do. She didn’t read a single book about babies because she couldn’t get past her fear and excitement about the actual birth. And, she might have thought that she would read the baby books after the baby has arrived. Good luck! Labour was the easy part compared to what comes next.
The objective of Labour is the Easy Part is to provide you with some knowledge about your baby BEFORE the baby actually arrives. This is a course dedicated to helping you to thrive in the first 3-6 months of motherhood.
This 2-day course includes:
- A tad about pregnancy and labour
- The first 5 days – what to expect
- The newborn learning curve
- Taking care of Mommy
- The support team
- Information overload
- Survival Tips and Techniques
- Short term pain, long term gain
By the end of this program you will feel more confident about some of the decisions and issues you will face in new motherhood. You will have created a powerful vision for your motherhood experience and you will feel grounded in your ability to do this powerfully.
"The commonest fallacy among women is that simply having children makes one a mother, which is as absurd as believing that having a piano makes one a musician."
